Hi, I had a free moment, so I caought up on your blog. Looks like you're knitting skills are really improving.

You got me in the spirit and i am knitting yet another present (i had made my lil sis a handbag and Andy some hobo gloves with a mitten top)

Andy's firend Vinny has commissioned me to knit this: and i figured i'd pass along the website to you:
http://www.theanticraft.com/archive/imbolc08/mredless.htm

What better place to pass along a super-funky craft website?!

If i don't get to Holiday cards: HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

if you make the patter just a few stitches smaller or larger it could make all the difference to the pooling situation, if you want to try again with the same yarn.... even though I rather like the effect.

Although I don't (remotely) enjoy using double pointed needles, I hate magic loop. There is nothing magical about it, it's just annoying and my end result always looks really bad. This is why I don't knit small round things. I hope you find more joy in it than I have.

He was really patient with me about the wool, especially since he knows that when I say "Your mom will like this for a present" that I know what I'm talking about! He was even intrigued by the fact that the Hebridean Black wool was naturally black - I guess he thought "black sheep" was just an expression! But he was somewhat less thrilled with all the sheep, especially since there were places where you would drive over a cattle grid in the road and suddenly be driving through a field full of them! Nothing like having to slow down and wait for the sheep to figure out that the middle of the road is not, in fact, the best place for a nap! >.<

Sadly, I have only gotten to see two pictures of you in that gorgeous dress. It sounds like you had an awesome time in Scotland, though. Did your new husband appreciate the abundant availability of wool as much as you did? : )

Good luck with joining the "mile high Knitting club". (tee hee)

I too have never knit a pair of socks - I need the motivation. I fear I'd also suffer from second sock syndrome.

Knitting in Central Park would be Way Too Cool. I think, just to be cheesy, I'd knit a Central Park Hoodie while I was there.

You're on rav? Tres cool. Here's my name:

I've heard that mentioned before, I may have to give it a try! I think that's an excellent example of why "no knitting needles" is a stupid rule.
